So I (Alicia) have been thinking for a while that I need to be better about documenting our happenings, cute little things the kids say, etc. I've tried journal writing and I know I'm terrible at that, so I'll try including some memories on this blog until Julian (the blog creator) tells me this is not a journal blog, it is a picture blog.
So today was a beautiful, warm, somewhat overcast day, perfect for a little jog. I have not been out of the house by myself for 3 days, so I am looking forward to a run. Julian gets home at a decent time, I finish making dinner, dish up the plates, and set them on the stairs so the family can eat outside and play w/ friends while I go for my little run. When I leave, the kids are riding bikes with the neighbors, Julian is eating, and Paige is down for a nap. Perfect! I was gone for 32 minutes. I walked up the stairs and was amazed at what could happen in such a little amount of time. Kaelyn had fallen off her bike, flat on her face, and was now in the bathtub washing rocks out of her mouth. Paige was laying on the floor outside of the bathroom and Ogden was kneeling next to her on pacifier duty. Paige had pooped her diaper, was ready to eat, and was screaming and Ogden was quietly upset because he had gotten in trouble for not listening when it was time to come inside. 32 minutes! 32 minutes in 3 days! When I left, everybody was happy. And when I returned nobody was.
Well, now everyone except me and the stupid escaping hamster are asleep. Kaelyn is fine, although she has a good goose egg on her forehead and some scratches that will hopefully be gone in time for our trip to Texas. I really should be in bed too. I AM tired. But I am enjoying the quiet and the fact that nobody needs anything right now.

Nana in Town
Nana came to visit a Ricks' College roommate this last weekend and stayed a couple extra days to visit and help out. She watched the girls while I ran errands and restocked our cupboards with her extra rolls of toilet paper, paper towels, kleenex's, etc. She also spent some Nana time with the kids and took Ogden to get a haircut and Kaelyn to get her nails painted. Thanks Nana! And Paigey, you are beautiful!
Silly picture--the kids played a game where you could only see each other if you had sunglasses, but Ogden and Kaelyn had given up by this point.
Not sure why Ogden's middle finger is sticking up.
Kaelyn is such a proud sister! I love that her and Ogden love their baby sister so much that they even offer to take the dirty diapers outside for me.

Catch up!
Kaelyn just before her first day of "Twinkle Toes"
Trying to capture Paige's beautiful eyes and mohawk in her Valentine's outfit from her Auntie "Em"
Look at her eyelashes!
Kaelyn spreading jelly on her peanut butter heart
Happy Valentine's Paige! Your brother and sister will have to "discuss" who gets your candy.
Ogden and Kaelyn decorating cookies that our old neighbors brought by for us! They loved it!
Dad and Paige cuddling as the sun shines through the window
Relaxin' on the boppy
Practicing after dance class--who knew this ballet outfit picked out by Nana 2 years ago would still be getting so much mileage
The Butterfly Kitty (wearing kitty ears) Mermaid and Ballerina eating lunch together
Enjoying bubbles from Aunt CC
One last picture of Paige. She got her 2 month check-up today and did so well. Even with 3 shots she only cried for 1 minute. I was prepared for the worst but am glad she's such a tough cookie (maybe it's because she gets poked at enough at home). Here's the stats:
Weight: 10 lb 2 oz 50th percentile
Length: 24.5 in 95th percentile
Head: 38 cm 25th percentile
And lastly, a video of Kaelyn on her first day of Twinkle Toes and notice the gentle collisions.
